What transparent background means
These are PNG files with a genuine alpha channel, so there is no white box behind the artwork. Drop one onto a photo, a coloured card or a slide and only the shape shows.
The checkerboard you may see behind them in an image editor is how transparency is displayed — it is not part of the file.

- Layered over a photo in a card or an invitation
- On a coloured background in Canva, Word, PowerPoint or Google Slides
- Printed on a T-shirt, mug or banner — they are 700 pixels square, big enough for most print use
- As a sticker in a video edit or a story
If the background still looks white
Two common causes. Either the file was saved again as a JPG somewhere along the way — JPG cannot store transparency — or the app you are viewing it in shows white by default. Re-download the PNG and check it in an editor that supports layers.
Licence — what you can actually do with these
Every file on this page was drawn for this site. Nothing here is scraped from a stock library, so there is no murky licence to worry about.

Put their name on it instead
A generic image says you remembered. An image with their name in it says you thought about them specifically.
Type any name into the free fireworks maker and the letters launch into a night sky and explode one at a time, with real firework sound. Screenshot the frame for a still, download the GIF for a group chat, or send it as a link that plays the moment they open it.
